Tom dumped his suitcase in a chair and surveyed the hotel room. “Reckon we can just share the bed?”
Mike stared at the bed in question. It wasn’t the smallest bed he had ever seen, but he wasn’t sure it could comfortably fit both of them.
“I don’t know, maybe we should go down to reception again.”
“Yeah, because complaining will somehow magically free up another room somewhere.” Tom bent down and unlaced his trainers. Mike tried not to stare. “Come on, it’s only for one night. I’m sure we can manage.”
“I… okay. But I’m using the bathroom first.”
